Bolivia endorses the Open Aid Partnership
May 15, 2013
On February 4th 2013, the Minister of Development Planning of the Plurinational State of Bolivia,
Ms. Viviana Caro Hinojosa, informed the World Bank of the Government's interest in implementing
the Open Aid Partnership (OAP) mapping platform for Bolivia. "The Open Aid Partnership will help
enhance our ability to visualize our development projects and work more effectively with our development
partners to identify priorities and target resources." said Ms. Caro Hinojosa. "It will also help us
improve the effectiveness of and access to public services, and enable our citizens to participate
by providing feedback, and voice their needs."

Publish What You Fund endorses the Open Aid Partnership
April 30, 2013
Publish What You Fund (PWYF) campaigns for aid transparency - more and better information about aid.
They insist that transparency is essential if aid is truly to deliver on its promise. Knowing what is
being spent where, by whom, and with what results is the basic foundation for reducing poverty and
empowering citizens. We are happy to receive an endorsement of the Open Aid Partnership by PWYF and
look forward to collaborating with them on this common goal.

OAP presented at the IATI Steering Committee Meeting,
Paris March 13, 2013
At the IATI Steering Committee meeting in Paris on March 13, Aleem Walji, Director, World Bank
Innovation Labs gave a presentation on the Open Aid Partnership. During the presentation, Aleem
discussed how the OAP is working to promote and build upon the existing IATI standard.

The Foundation Center endorses the Open Aid
Partnership November 14, 2012
The Foundation Center, the leading source of information about philanthropy worldwide,
endorsed the Open Aid Partnership and its efforts to improve the openness and effectiveness
of development assistance worldwide. The Foundation Center's expertise in knowledge
management, its role as a driver of transparency, and its data resources for global
philanthropy align with the Partnership's approach to facilitating positive change in the
arena of international aid.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) endorses
the Open Aid Partnership October 1,
2012
The African Development Bank (AfDB) was one of the first development institutions to
pinpoint the locations of all of its projects approved from 2009-2010 as part of its 2011
Annual Review. The AfDB is now scaling up this initiative to include all active projects. In
joining the Open Aid Partnership , the AfDB will contribute actively in increasing the
transparency of development aid with the other partners.
The Open Aid Partnership warmly welcomes the AfDB endorsement and looks forward to a close
collaboration.

Partnership September 26, 2012
"ONE warmly endorses the Open Aid Partnership and looks forward to working with the World
Bank and its partners to make the vision of open aid and open development, with empowered and
informed citizens at the center, a reality." ONE is a grassroots advocacy and campaigning
organization that fights extreme poverty and preventable disease, particularly in Africa.

Partners Meeting in Helsinki,
Finland September 18, 2012
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland hosted the 2nd Open Aid Partners Meeting during
the Open Knowledge Festival in Helsinki on September 18, 2012. At the meeting, partners
nominated Bolivia, Kenya, Nepal, and Tanzania for piloting first phase OAP activities. The
OAP Team has begun to engage these four countries to begin the pilot activities.

InterAction has endorsed the Open Aid Partnership
(PDF) August 20, 2012
The Open Aid Partnership has been endorsed by InterAction, the largest alliance of
U.S.-based international NGOs. InterAction is the first civil society group to endorse the
Partnership. So far eight countries, InterAction and the World Bank have endorsed the
Partnership.

Interactive Mapping of Development Projects -
Technical Workshop April 26, 2012
Sweden's Ministry for Foreign Affairs, the Swedish International Development Cooperation
Agency (Sida) and the World Bank Institute (WBI) co-organized a technical workshop in
Stockholm, Sweden on April 26, 2012Â to bring together the Open Aid Partners and
better understand the power of sub-national mapping of development projects. Participants
learnt about the key concepts of sub-national data collection and geo-coding and exchanged
ideas about how to implement them.

The Czech Development Agency has endorsed the
Open Aid Partnership March 13, 2012
The Open Aid Partnership has been endorsed by the Czech Development Agency. As of April
2012, Sweden, United Kingdom, Spain, the Netherlands, Estonia, Finland, the Czech Republic,
Canada and the World Bank have endorsed the Partnership.

Mapping Tool Analyzes How Climate Change,
Conflict, And Aid Intersect February 29,

The mapping tool is also a significant innovation in the context of the global aid
transparency movement. It represents the first effort of the sort envisioned by the Open Aid
Partnership, an initiative spearheaded by the World Bank to increase the openness and
effectiveness of development assistance at the subnational level.

call for Open Collaborative Maps to Improve Development Aid Impact

have announced their endorsement of the Open Aid Partnership in Busan, Korea, during the
Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness. It brings development partners together to
enhance the openness and effectiveness of development assistance.
